Palliative care is support for people living with life-limiting illnesses. This may include conditions such as cancer, dementia, Parkinson's, Motor Neurone Disease (MND), heart failure and other progressive illnesses. The focus of our non-clinical support is on comfort, quality of life and helping people remain as independent as possible, while feeling supported through their journey.
End of life care is support for people living with a terminal illness during the final stage of life. During this time, needs can change quickly and extra support at home may become increasingly important.
The focus of our non-clinical support is on comfort, dignity and helping people feel as safe and supported as possible, while offering reassurance, guidance and support to families throughout the process, including at the time of death.
Our small team have extensive backgrounds in palliative and end-of-life care, with training and experience across healthcare settings.
We understand that having somebody new in your home during difficult times can feel deeply personal and at times intrusive. Our promise is to approach every visit with kindness, respect and consideration, while helping people feel comfortable, reassured and cared for in their own environment.
Care usually begins with a phone call, where we can talk through your current situation and answer any questions you may have.
A home visit can then be arranged to discuss routines, support needed and preferred visit times. Costs and care options will also be explained clearly, with no pressure to decide immediately.
Once care is agreed, visits can begin in a way that remains flexible as needs change over time.
We understand that having somebody new in your home can feel unfamiliar, especially when you have not yet met the person attending. For added reassurance, we have measures in place to help people feel informed, comfortable and at ease from the very beginning. These include optional passwords, carer photos before visits and live location sharing with a nominated family member or friend during visits. All carers are fully insured and DBS checked.
