Lumina Care grew from both professional and personal experience, and a belief that families navigating dementia, palliative and end-of-life care deserve support that is calm, reliable and genuinely compassionate.
Working in hospice and community care, alongside supporting our own loved ones, has shown us just how important dependable care can be - and how difficult it can be for families when services fall short at such an important time.
Lumina was created with the aim of offering care built on consistency, dignity and compassion.
Lumina - meaning light - reflects the aim to bring reassurance, comfort and clarity during life's most challenging moments.
Lumina Care is a small team of experienced community palliative carers providing non-clinical personal care and support.
We work alongside healthcare professionals to complement clinical services and do not provide medical or nursing interventions.
All care is delivered in line with the fundamental standards of care, with a strong emphasis on compassion, safety and individualised support.
At Lumina Care, we understand that no two situations are ever the same.
Care is rarely black and white - particularly when supporting people through palliative care, dementia or end-of-life care.
Our service is flexible, responsive and shaped around the individual, their circumstances and what matters most to them.
Because care needs can change quickly, we offer support that can be adapted as situations evolve.
